RECRUITMENT

Compliance:

At Emaar Logistics Recruitment, we recognise the importance of maintaining robust compliance standards throughout the recruitment process and during every stage of employment. To achieve this, we combine experienced manual oversight with advanced technology-driven solutions to manage compliance effectively.

Our dedicated compliance team, based at our head office, works closely with consultants who are thoroughly trained in the legal and regulatory requirements of the transport and recruitment sector. We place strong emphasis on ongoing training and professional development, ensuring our staff fully understand your operational needs and any associated risks. This allows you to have complete confidence in the recruitment professionals managing your account.

We also believe technology plays a vital role in delivering efficient and reliable compliance management. That is why we have invested in leading government-approved systems designed to protect and support our clients, even after workers have been placed into active roles. For example, we use automated licence checking systems that provide real-time updates on any changes to driver documentation. This removes the burden of monitoring temporary worker licences from your team, as we manage the process on your behalf with accurate and up-to-date information.

Driver Liability & Accident Procedure

In the event that a bus driver supplied by us is involved in an accident, we will provide support and assistance throughout the process. Where sufficient CCTV evidence is available confirming the circumstances of the incident, we will cover the insurance excess up to a value of £2,000.

Should you prefer to receive a £2,000 cheque deposit prior to the commencement of the driver’s assignment, this can be arranged upon request.

If a driver is found to be at fault following an investigation, we reserve the right to take appropriate disciplinary action, which may include termination of employment. In such cases, the driver may also be removed from our active workforce and will not be assigned to other client contracts.

Right to Work

We verify every candidate’s right to work in the UK using a Home Office-approved Identity Service Provider (IDSP) equipped with Identity Document Validation Technology (IDVT). In addition, we conduct online right to work checks through the Home Office portal and the Employer Checking Service where required.

For manual verification, candidates attend one of our offices or recruitment hubs where their original documents are reviewed in person and validated using advanced ID scanning technology to confirm authenticity. Throughout the duration of employment, we carry out regular compliance audits on all active workers to ensure continued adherence to legal requirements while providing candidates with a straightforward and efficient onboarding experience.

Automated Licence Checks

All driver candidates undergo manual DVLA licence checks during the registration process. Once a driver is introduced to a client, we implement an automated, real-time online licence monitoring system to continuously review driving records and licence status.

This technology provides instant alerts regarding any changes to a driver’s record, including endorsements, disqualifications, licence expirations, restrictions, and category amendments. This allows us to maintain full compliance and ensure only suitably licensed drivers are supplied to our clients.

Driver Hours

When assigning work, we use dedicated systems to help manage driver hours in line with Working Time Directive regulations and the legal driving limits applicable to each licence category.

We also enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy on multi-company working while drivers are engaged through our service. This helps ensure drivers are not undertaking work for other operators during their scheduled rest days. Furthermore, every driver is required to complete and sign a working hours declaration as part of the registration process.
